Our Story

It all started in Berlin…

…with a community-focused housing project called Happy Pigeons Coliving. Our mission was (and still is) to create an active community comprised of people from different backgrounds, cultures, and experiences to tackle modern loneliness, a quite new phenomenon in cities around the world.

5 years later we can proudly look at a strong community of around 40 people, living and/ or working in Happy Pigeons.

However, we also realized that there is still so much more to learn from so many smart, forward-thinking specialists and creatives around the world. People who are dedicated to improving our daily lives or the environment with their projects such as (co-)housing, urban planning initiatives, and sustainable architecture/ building solutions & materials. This list could go on for a while. Our goal is to portray them and give them the stage, they deserve! Get in touch with us if you would like to contribute your story!

But that’s not all. We are not only portraying projects but also creating them ourselves! Our lab serves as an experimental playground, testing (new) concepts and ideas related to housing and portraying our experience as case studies with all pros and cons. We believe in an honest and transparent approach and therefore don’t shy out from telling you about our challenges and failures. We invite you to follow our journey and learn with us.
